learning something new

Ally has learned how to tie her shoes. I am so proud of her, but don't like her growing up so fast! Somehow Noah always seems to make it into "her" pictures! At least this time he wasn't making silly faces.

the two of them

Noah's turn

Noah played pirate/police officer (notice the badge?) the other day. He seems to be doing very well without his sister at home during the day.

girl time

Today, Ally helped me out while I played with new camera settings. After looking at these photos, I've decided that she looks a little more grown up than I want her to, but we had fun! She took a few as well, and did a pretty good job! btw, most of these were taken with her daddy's old Chevy.

just one little bite

We ate a very late dinner tonight, so I allowed the kids to choose what they wanted. Ally chose chicken nuggets and apple sauce and Noah requested one of his favorite foods, any time of the day...oatmeal. I guess those chicken nuggets started looking pretty good on Ally's plate and Noah asked her for a little bite of her last one. She said that was fine, but JUST a LITTLE bite, and she was going to hold it for him. He finally convinced her that he needed to hold it, and when he returned it to her...this is all that was left!

the first day

Today was Ally's first day of school. Somehow, I've managed not to cry...yet!! I'm sure it will hit me soon, and the tears will start flowing!! I tried to take her picture this morning, while she was eating breakfast, but Noah decided to pop into the picture at the last minute. Oh well.

Today was her phase-in day. The others in her class either had their turn yesterday or will tomorrow. It looks like not everyone was as excited to be there as Ally was!!

When we first walked in, Noah started crying because he had left his "lunch" in the car. Ally packed a little snack and drink into her lunchbox, so Noah packed one as well. We have been explaining to him, the last several days, that this school if for those who are at least five years old, and that he will go there when he is five. After we left, we walked over to the playground and let Noah play for awhile. He handled it all better than I expected.
