Noah's turn

The next night, Noah helped me make a few goodies (Ally Grace was asleep again.) I think the chocolate covered oreos were his favorite to make. His part was to drop the oreo into the chocolate for me. I allowed him to make one on his very own. He did a pretty good job with it! He actually dipped it, covered it, put it on the wax paper and sprinkled it with oreo crumbs all on his own. I was going to at least supervise it, but when I came back with the camera, he had already gotten started.

Ally's school party

Ally and I made sugar cookies for her class Christmas party. She fell asleep while they were baking. :)

Merry Christmas to you all!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Noah's 3rd birthday

Noah turned three a couple of weeks ago. Batman was the theme for his party. I wanted to make cupcakes instead of a cake, but had a little trouble. Anyway, I made a Batman cupcake cake along with a couple of plates of frosted cupcakes. He got a lot of Batman and Spiderman toys.
He is doing pretty well lately with the potty training. It started the morning of his birthday. I think the "you're three now and not a baby" speech may have helped a little. :) He still has accidents here and there and still wets at night, but I'm not complaining! I thought he'd be ok with wearing a diaper for several more years, so we are doing good! :)

Noah, I mean Batman, licked the batter bowl clean.

new baby niece

I have a new little niece who just arrived today! My sister, Rachael, gave birth to little Annabelle Leigh this afternoon! I can't wait to see her in a couple of weeks! Congratulations Jon and Rae!

Tagged!

Ok, so I've been tagged and have been asked to post 7 random facts about myself. This was harder than I thought it would be, but here goes!

1. I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe.
2. I don't have a "favorite color".
3. I like mowing the lawn and working in the yard.
4. I have 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
5. I hated school!
6. I am still an Auburn fan. :)
7. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

Ally Grace & Noah this week

My poor babies have been sick since Wednesday. Can't tell from the pictures, can ya? :) I think Ally is about over it, and now it's Noah's turn. Hopefully, he is about done as well. Anyway, here's some of what they've been up to when feeling a little better.

I don't think Ally was expecting (or wanting) to give a horse back ride, but if you are on the floor for 2 seconds, Noah is on your back!

Noah is not allowed to use pencils, pens, crayons, markers or anything that will make a mark anywhere! However, he was able to get ahold of a black marker the other day and this is what he did with it. I think he was proud of his art work until Ally told him that he looked like a scarecrow and that he had to go stand in the front yard (what a sweet, big sister!). He immediately begged us to wash it off!

So, Ally has been reading "chapter books" lately and had just finished her second one last week about Junie B. Jones. She went to school yesterday and brought home her third book about this little kindergartener. Ally wasn't feeling well yesterday, so she spent most of her time after school reading this book. She finished the book before she went to bed! (yeah, an interesting reading position, I know.) I'm so proud of her!

Noah & me

Noah and I went outside the other day and played for awhile. He was so tired by the time that we came in, that he almost fell asleep on the patio!

New addiction!

Ok, so I've found a new photoshop addiction (like I need another one!) and thought I'd share. I've seen some MUCH better, but was very excited about these. Everything in the card was taken from each of their bedrooms. ALLY's...the background and border - her bedding quilt (along with a brush around the edges), the button and monogram - her backpack (see previous blog posts), Kim Anderson picture - decorative plate, her tiara - the top of her mirror. NOAH's...the background and birthday hat - his bedding quilt, border is another brush, initials - wooden blocks, baseball pig - piggy bank. With lots more playing around and practice, I am hoping to have some Christmas cards to add to what we already offer at Gentry Photography!

Some of you may not want to see these, but I thought I'd remind y'all of what a Black Widow looks like.
here are the before and after photos of Ms. Black Widow #1

and here is Ms. Black Widow #2
We found #1 near the steps to our back patio. #2 was found on the front of our house the same week! I'm hoping these are the only 2 that we will ever see around here again! :)
