the boys

Here's Matthew in the kitchen, cutting up
tomatoes, onions & cucumbers. Yum!!

This is Noah's favorite outfit. He is only allowed to wear it at home. :)
I sure do wish he'd trade that diaper in for some big boy undies!

kindergarten

Well, we are now only 2 weeks away from Ally's first day of school. I have mixed feelings.

On one hand, I am extremely excited for her! We went last week and bought almost all of her school supplies and had half of them monogrammed. I bought her backpack at the Honey Pot for Christmas two years ago, and sewed these little buttons onto it. We took it to my new favorite store and had it monogrammed, along with her lunch box and pencil pouches. Fun, fun, fun!!! I just hope that she gets through day one without having anyone tease her about her initials!

Then, on the other hand, my little girl is growing up and starting her first of at least 13 years of school!! I don't know that I will ever be ready for this! She is so excited and counting down the number of days! Hopefully I won't cry too much on her first day!!

new baby cousin

My cousin Amy and her husband Chad, just had their first baby on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Camden Michael H. was 6lbs. 14oz. and 19 1/2 in. long! Amy was scheduled to be induced on the 16th, but little Camden was ready to come into this world before then. She started having contractions that Saturday and went to get checked out around 5pm. Camden was born just before 11pm. Congratulations, Amy & Chad!! We love you!

it's potty training time!

It's that time! Noah seemed very interested in using his little potty chair just a few months ago. I'm not sure what happened... He would tell me that he needed to go, walk into the bathroom, take his diaper off and go!! A few times, he went and THEN came and told me!! Well, he's not so interested these days. I tried not to push him before and just went with it since he was going on his own some. I think once Ally starts school, we will try again. Anyway, here are a few photos of back when he was interested. It looks like he got a jelly bean that day!!! :)

to get started...

...here are a few photos of our family from the past year or so. The first one is of us at the Birmingham Zoo at the end of last summer. The second one was taken at the Ripley's Aquarium, when we went to the Smokies on vacation this past February. We don't have many family photos, so these will have to do for now. :) The kids are growing up so fast! I really wish they would slow down!
